Good Vibrations Festival regretfully announces that Friendly Fires have had to cancel their Australian tour commitments due to a serious family illness. The following statement was released by the band today: “Unfortunately we have had to cancel our trip to Australia because of a family emergency within the band. Heartfelt apologies to anyone who was looking forward to our shows, we hope we’ll have the chance to come and play for you all very soon”
Their guest spot at the Sold Out Gossip side show at the Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 16th February will be now filled by fellow Good Vibrations Festival artists (and Hottest 100 heroes) Art Vs Science.
Since the 2006 release of ‘Standing in the Way of Control’, powerhouse indie trio Gossip have proven themselves to be one of the world’s most exciting and infectious live acts of the past decade.
The band will be showcasing their ever-evolving, always-electrifying sound and sensibility. With drummer Hannah Blilie’s propulsive rhythms interlocking with Brace Paine’s heart-pounding riffs and charismatic lead singer Beth Ditto’s impassioned and cathartic vocals this performance is sure not to disappoint!.
Don’t miss your chance to check out Beth Ditto, the coolest person on the planet (as named by The Independent) and the band Gossip in their only Sydney side show
