Born in an East London squat in the ’90s before being escalated to international stardom, everyone’s favourite rock’n’roll ragamuffins The Libertines quickly garnered a reputation as the epitome of hedonistic indie rock. Led by notorious duo Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, the band have released four full length albums since they formed, including 2002’s chaotic era-defining debut ‘Up The Bracket’, the 2004 self-titled follow up, then returning after a 10-year hiatus with 2014’s ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’.
Marking the band’s resurgence in 2024, The Libertines released their fourth studio album ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’ in April this year. Their first new album in nine years, ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’ produced three genius singles, ‘Run, Run, Run’, ‘Night Of The Hunter’, and Shiver’ and delivered The Libertines a second UK Number #1 album 20 years on from their eponymously titled second album in 2004. Touring in support of this latest release the band are currently playing a string of sold out shows across the UK and Ireland.
Australian fans can expect to hear new material alongside the band’s classic hits including ‘Can't Stand Me Now’, ‘Time For Heroes’, fan picks ‘What A Waster’ and ‘Boys In The Band’ and of course live favourites ‘The Delaney’ and ‘May Day’.
